On 8 December 2017, the Swiss Federal Council agreed on how to implement the Act for Implementing the Article of the Constitution for Managing Immigration (Art. 121a of the Swiss Federal Constitution) – also known as the “mass immigration initiative” – at ordinance level. Since July 1st 2018, the job registration requirement has been in place. Since then, the following process must be followed for vacancies that are subject to the job registration requirement.
